Restaurant ClemenS – a meaningful name
Our goal in choosing this name was to recall several prominent local figures in the Ehrenbreitstein area: Clemens Bretano, Prince Clemens Wenceslaus of Saxony and Carl Clemens Bücker, along with Josef Breitbach, whose novel Clemens is partly set at Diehls Hotel.
The beautiful Ehrenbreitstein landscape must surely have provided inspiration for some of Brentano’s Romantic poetry.
Enjoy a wonderful meal with a view of the Rhine here with us to feel the same magic!
We believe traditional cuisine has a bright future. At ClemenS, we embrace influences from all over the world, integrating them into traditional European cuisine to create something completely new. From classic favorites to unusual creations, our menu offers something for everyone. ClemenS serves hot meals daily from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. During the week, in the evening, the à la carte menu is available (6.00 pm until 9.45 pm) and on Sundays and holidays (11.30 am until 13.45 pm & 6.00 pm until 9.45 pm). There is also an all-day menu. The all-day menu you can order all around the clock every day of the week in the bar, in your room and on the rhine terrace (but not in the restaurant ClemenS opening time).
Our menu features both regional and international specialties, along with seasonal specials such as asparagus, game or goose as particular culinary delights.
One very special highlight of our restaurant is that it is located right on the Rhine, offering a unique view of the river and the historic city center of Koblenz.
